Mercedes-Benz GLS Ready to Challenge BMW X6

Premium crossover SUV market seems to be more congested with the presence of Mercedes-Benz plans GLS 2014. As reported by the UK magazine Autocar, BMW X6 GLS will challenge that proved successful enough to attract many consumers.

The figure of a combination of an SUV with a X6 coupe sports car, will be used GLS. Mercedes-Benz will use the design lines reported CLS-class saloon on the M-class SUV platform as the base GLS.

Still not a lot of technical information obtained on this model. Yet the ranks of the engine choices are offered do not seem to be much different from the line-up Mercedes SUV currently available;-powered 3.5-liter V6 and 306 hp 4.8-liter V8-powered 435 hp, both petrol.

For diesel engines will be offered 3.0-liter engine-powered 258 hp. Variants of diesel-electric hybrid technology will be introduced, including variants of AMG 6.3-liter V8 engine with twin-turbo.
